Exercise #10: Drop Kicks in a Circle
OBJECTIVE:
This exercise gets your field players and goalkeepers practicing the proper technique for drop kicking balls while working on catching and vision at the same time.
DESCRIPTION:
Several players should stand in a square or circle, two of whom should have a ball. Whoever has a ball should look up, call the name of a player across from him, and drop kick the ball to that person. That person will catch it and drop kick it to someone else. Alternate who balls go to and perform this exercise at a quick pace. Everyone must pay attention since two balls will be going at the same time. Vision is important!

"I really liked your article. I have used this method for a long time with lots of teams I have coached. Your article expressed the tactic very simply and effectively. I am sure it helped a lot of people. It is amazing what being alert to this simple concept can do for a team that finds it difficult to mount effective counterattacks. Nice job!"
