Exercise #322: 1v1s "Up Quick" Fitness Training

OBJECTIVE:

This exercise is very economical, in that it works on fitness, 1v1s, and diving all at the same time.

DESCRIPTION:

Place four balls in a square pattern. Have your keeper stand in the middle, and number them 1 through 4 for him. The coach stands outside of the pattern with a ball at his feet and calls a number. The keeper should sprint to that ball and slide into it like a 1v1 save, get back up quickly, and return to the center of the pattern as the coach serves a driven shot into the grid. The keeper should make the save, serve the ball back to the coach and sprint to the next ball the coach calls off. Repeat for a specified length of time.
